A comprehensive OT evaluation focused on skills that impact school participation — including sensory regulation, attention, fine motor skills, and handwriting with personalized strategies for school success.

FAMILY/CAREGIVER EDUCATION AND COACHING

Family and Caregiver Education and Coaching provides parents with practical strategies to support their child’s regulation, attention, fine motor skills, and handwriting. Education is individualized and designed to support carryover at home and school.

SCHOOL/TEACHER CONSULTATION

For children who are struggling at school but do not qualify for school-based OT, school and teacher consultation can help bridge the gap. I work with parents and educators to share practical, easy-to-implement strategies that support regulation, attention, and classroom participation.

SCHOOL SCREENING

The therapist can coordinate with the school and teacher at the parent’s request to complete a screening to see if an OT evaluation is advisable.

SCHOOL BASED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES

School-Based Occupational Therapy services support children who are struggling with school participation due to challenges with sensory and emotional regulation, attention, fine motor skills, or handwriting. Services are provided in the home or community setting and focus on building functional skills that support success in the classroom.

About Us

I’m a pediatric occupational therapist who specializes in helping children succeed in their learning environments. I spent six years working in the public school system, where I developed a deep appreciation for collaborating with teachers and parents to support students with sensory regulation, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, handwriting, attention, and classroom participation.

Through my work in the schools, I saw how many children struggle with school-based skills but do not qualify for school-based OT services. That experience led me to create Learning Steps Therapy, a mobile pediatric OT practice focused on school success.

I support public school students who don’t qualify for school OT, private school students without onsite OT, and homeschool learners, meeting children where they learn best — at home, school, or in the community. Collaboration with parents and teachers is a core part of my approach, helping ensure strategies carry over across environments.

My goal is to help children feel more regulated, confident, and successful in their learning — while supporting the adults who guide them each day.
